THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM

In October 2021 in Wyandanch Plaza, Herstory Writers Workshop held an outdoor Freedom Forum. An event where the community voiced its view on the impact of environmental justice through the lens of writers from various backgrounds.
At the end of the forum, the audience was invited to speak.
Renee Williamson, a teacher from Wyandanch Union Free School District, got up and spoke LOUD AND CLEAR.
